My Students

Some high school students have never thought about death and dying. Others have lost a loved one and experienced the grieving process first hand. "Tuesdays with Morrie" gives us a glimpse into the life of a man that wants to die with dignity and integrity.

My students live in a rural area where families are close knit and neighbors support neighbors.

They attend a relatively small school and usually graduate with the same friends they went to kindergarten with. They value education and appreciate the opportunities they receive as a result of working hard.

My Project

With these books, our class will be able to experience Morrie's journey together. We will respond to what we have read through journaling and short answer questions. Class discussion is an important part of this project. It is fascinating to hear how they relate to Mitch and Morrie.

Donations to this project will change the lives of my students by opening their eyes to what it is like to go through the process of aging and death.

This experience will impact my students by getting them to think about how they might act if they were diagnosed with a terminal illness.
