This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Have you ever wanted to be a scientist?! In my class, my students do not feel like students at all. They are all actively investigating scientists! However, it is difficult for them to stay organized as a scientist should without a Science notebook.

We are a college prep middle school in California whose mission it is to provide college readiness for historically under-served students in non-urban communities regardless of family income or language spoken at home.

Most of our students will be the first in their families to attend and be successful in college.

My Project

These notebooks will allow my scientists to be actively involved in their learning. They will record all of their notes and experiments in their notebooks, as well as add graphs, diagrams, charts, and illustrations. These notebooks will help students stay organized and display each students' individual growth throughout the year.

Notebooks are a simple way for each student to demonstrate what they have learned throughout the year as well as show creativity.

Each student is an individual and by supplying each student with their own notebook they will be able to exhibit their work and express their creativity.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
