My Students

Do you remember what it was like when the teacher asked you to pull your notes from yesterday's class and you couldn't find them because you weren't organized? My students experience this feeling on a daily basis. They lack the necessary supplies to keep them organized on a daily basis.

My students come from low-income, single parent, minority households.

They lack the materials, knowledge, and organizational skills to help them function on a daily basis. Most students don't have a place at home to keep their materials safe or the help they need to keep them organized.

My Project

Having notebooks with dividers, students will be able to keep daily notes, handouts, vocabulary, notebook and graph paper in individual sections where they will have all their paperwork at their fingertips. The tabletop whiteboard and dry erase markers will be used to help them set up their notebooks and for individual groups to take notes and work examples of problems.

By having all of their materials "At their Fingertips", students will have better study materials for tests and and class projects.

Organized notebooks will give students a feeling of accomplishment and sense of security knowing they have the Materials they need to succeed.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
