I am so excited to begin the new school teaching the same group of children I taught last year in Kindergarten. I will now be teaching a first grade inclusion classroom with both special and general needs students learning together. My students with special needs have delays in speech and language development. All of my students are enthusiastic and excited about school. My Project: As I gear up for the new school year, I can't help but notice that my students will need basic school supplies to start the year off right. Students write and read every day in my class, and we will need pencils and notebooks to write in. Students also enjoy reading non-fiction, but it is sometimes hard to keep kids engaged with difficult non-fiction books. Weekly Readers is an excellent magazine that encourages children to read about science and social studies themes that engaging, and easy to read. Help us race into first grade in tip, top shape with basic school supplies. Your support will help my students have access to materials that will help them read and write daily. Thanks in advance for thinking of my students! hide» My students need basic supplies (pencils, notebooks, etc) and 24 subscriptions of Weekly Readers to start the new school year. details»
