My Students

Imagine working, learning, living in an environment that is surrounded by an unpleasant odor. My severely disabled children are doing this daily because we do not have an appropriate diaper pail to eliminate the odor.

I teach a 12:1:4 severely disabled special education class.

My students have various disabilities that hinder their ability to communicate, limit mobility, and create challenges daily. We are in an elementary school building with our peers. Our main goal is to teach communication, life skills and basic academic skills.

My Project

By receiving a diaper pail that will eliminate odors, we will be able to learn in an environment that is pleasant. Currently, it can be embarrassing to have our friends in and hard to focus in a place with an unpleasant smell. We even have one student in the class that has a problem with smells and it causes adverse reactions sometimes for her.

Donating to this project for a little diaper pail will make a huge impact on the lives of my students.

It will enable them to learn in a pleasant environment and allow them to invite others in without embarrassment.
