This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Have you ever found yourself trying to find a pencil? It would be nice to have your own place with your materials easily accessible so that you don't lose time looking for what you need. In a small space you would think it an easy task, not so. Pocket chairs is a wonderful tool for student materials

My students come to school from either a new country or an economically challenged life.

I provide as many materials for my students, but it can become costly. In a time when the recession seems to hit us all, it affects my students the most. Many are just struggling with language, poverty, and learning overall with so many obstacles. I try to reuse as many materials as possible, but the time has come for an alternative. Space is essential and lacking, I am doing the best I can to make full use of my space for an optimal learning environment for my students. My students appreciate all they receive.

My Project

I am requesting a class set of chair pockets in an effort to utilize space and provide storage for my students. I believe that students will have less to be concerned about when looking for their materials, when it would be readily available in their own storage behind their seat.

This project is so important, because it will organize their materials and make accessing them more efficient, thereby reducing wasted class time and increasing effective learning time.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
