My Students

The cost of technology is high. However, low-cost technology allows students to conduct research, share creative ideas, get immediate feedback during media lessons and create digital projects to share.

My school is made up of students in grades 3-5 in a small rural town at the base of the local mountains.

Students enjoy using the technology that we now have, but are always asking for more. My students want to be challenged. We work in small groups at times, and iPods will help make learning fun. My students need 2 iPods to practice and implement 21st-century learning through technological innovation in my media center.

My Project

The iPod Touch is a piece of technology that most students are comfortable using. The iPod Touch can store many educational programs for students' use, has the ability to connect to the Internet and can be used to create content and record audio. These features will allow students to interact directly with the media center curriculum and to use the iPods to create, save and share information in a new and fun way.

Students are digital natives and need to be exposed in school to all types of 21st- century technology.

Students need to be taught to use the technology to become 21st-century learners.
