My students need 15 different center-based math activities and games like number stamps, counting cubes, sequencing puzzles and a number line, to help them learn about the fun world of numbers.

My Students

The children entering into Kindergarten have an overwhelming first year of grade school. It's important for me to find different and creative ways to teach the concept of numbers to five year old children. These materials will enhance the lessons that that I am teaching in math.

I teach a kindergarten inclusion class, which is specifically designed for children that have special needs.

Most of my students in my class are on free or reduced lunch. When I asses my students at the beginning of each school year, more then 80% of them are performing below grade level in math.

My Project

My students need 15 different center-based math activities and games like number stamps, counting cubes, sequencing puzzles and a number line, to help them learn about the fun world of numbers. The children will have the opportunity to engage with hands-on activities that will create fun and enriching math experiences. I will also use the materials as resources for children that require additional instruction, if they are struggling in math.
