Window to the World: From Photography to Writing

My students need two cameras to take pictures to inspire our writing.

My Students

Help us to see the world through different lenses. Teaching point of view can be challenging in a flat classroom. Photography can open up a new world to students.

My enthusiastic students are eager to get out and explore their world.

They are expanding their wings and expanding their horizons. These students are amazing! Our school is located in a suburban environment. There are 350 students currently enrolled in our school.

My Project

Two Nikon Coolpix digital cameras will allow the students to capture different points of view. Such as using our book buddies we can take portrait pictures from multiple angles to show size and power. Students would then write about the way the perspective is different and how that is conveyed through the photograph.

In order to prepare my students for an ever changing workplace it is imperative to provide them the opportunity to utilize technology tools to communicate.

This project will teach these 21st century skills in a fun and exciting way.
