My Students

Currently my students come to the front of the class and transfer their solution to an overhead. A document camera would facilitate this process by not having to recopy their work. This would streamline the entire process. A document camera would also be a greener alternative by reducing disposables.

Most of our students at my school are very motivated, respectful, and helpful.

The campus is kept clean and inviting. The school usually does well on the STAR but there is always room for improvement. The staff works well together and are always trying to enhance the curriculum.

My Project

The document camera is an interactive tool that would encourage students to show their work and become excited about math. It would also help facilitate the teaching of some of the more complex math standards. The document camera would be a great hands on way to demonstrate graphing, solving equations, integers, fractions, etc.

I would like to avail myself of some of the new technologies for the classroom.

This document camera would vividly reproduce anything placed beneath the lens. Budget cuts are requiring teachers to look for alternate funding sources.
