My Students

Can you imagine a world without computers, cell phones,and flip videos? My students need your help! A flip video will allow students to demonstrate their knowledge about the curriculum in a fun and exciting way.

I teach 24 fifth grade students.

My students thrive on hands on activities to learn the curriculum. Our school is classified as low socio-economic. Our students have limited opportunities to visit the public library, museums, and travel. Most of our students come from a single parent home. Parents are busy working and do not have the time to help their child read and complete homework. Many parents don't know how to help their child. I would like to film short instructional lessons to put on my class website. This way, parents can access the video to learn how to solve math word problems to assist their child with completing homework. I think these short video clips will encourage parents to get involved in their child's education.

My Project

-Students will learn how to use the flipvideo to film classroom debates, plays, and short instructional lessons -Students will also been shown how to use Flipshare to send video attachments -Students will learn how to access these videos to help themselves and their parents complete homework and study for tests. -The videos will also be shown on the classroom Smartboard. -Hands on activities are more effective with educating students

Students need to use technology to stay motivated in the classroom! Technology such as the flipvideo is a fun, interactive approach to demonstrate what students are learning in the classroom.
