My Students

We have access to wonderful laptop computers at our school but we would love to add the digital camera component to the laptops and promote photo use for all our projects. One favorite idea is to do an "Itty-Bitty" photo project that involves the whole school in a contest to identify the photos!

My students are active, intelligent kids with great senses of humor and a zest for learning.

They love to learn with different styles of teaching ... hands-on, creative and interesting ideas that also help them keep up with technology. They are a group of kids who probably don't have access to these tools at home, so it would be a great boost to have them at school!

My Project

The "Itty-Bitty" project will be bringing the school together with community and peer building activities as the entire school identifies the photos and participates in activity with the digital cameras. The photos from the cameras will also be used on our morning announcements, for science projects and reports, for history fair and for learning how to work with a digital camera and the computer.

Remember how much fun it was to have your pictures developed and see what shots you took?

Kids can see that instantly now and manipulate and Photoshop the images using the computer...such a great skill for the computer generation!
