My Students

Let's put on a show! My second graders love putting on plays for others to see, especially their family members. But not many parents can make it to school during the day to see the plays because they work out of town. A flip camcorder would allow us share our plays with them.

I have 19 energetic and creative second graders.

They have even written their own Christmas play which they performed for other classes. They are kind and love to work on projects together. They attend a public school in rural Wisconsin and don't have many opportunities to see professional performances.

My Project

The students are always proud of their accomplishments and love to share them with their family members. They get very disappointed when no one can come in to see their plays. A Flip Camcorder would allow us to record the play and then send it to the parents via email or school tube so they can enjoy watching their child in action.

My student's creativity would increase with the opportunity to perform more plays and even write their own productions.

They would learn about creating scenery that is appealing to the eye by seeing it on a screen before they actually give their plays. They then could make decisions on how to make it better. This would be an excellent teaching tool to use in our classroom.
