Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I want my kids to know that if they can imagine it, then they can achieve it!

My students are 3 and 4 year old preschoolers from a high poverty environment.

The majority of my students are English language learners who do not get many life experiences. I teach the Tools of the Mind curriculum which stresses the importance of pretend play in the development of young children.

My Project

Having access to the appropriate props to support the pretend play in our curriculum is key to its success. However, with a limited budget it is very hard to provide them with all of the things that I know will help them to take on the roles of these career people and enhance their motivation as well as their learning.

Therefore, a donation of the career dress-up set along with grandma's and grandpa's treasure chests will provide my current students and many more to come with the "Tools" for their success!
