Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Do you remember your first time you went to the beach or to a "fancy restaurant? Well many of my students have yet to experience either of those things.

I am a preschool teacher in a high poverty district with a huge amount of English language learners.

In addition, many of my students have special needs. Many of my parents work numerous jobs to provide their children with bare necessities so my students are left with little experiences.

My Project

My classroom is a place where I can take them anywhere I want through our play themes, such as a hair salon, barber shop, restaurant, doctors office, veterinarian and space. Having the Flip video recorder would allow me to increase their exposure to my play themes by taking virtual field trips and exploring these place with them.

Many of us take for granted the experiences that many children are not afforded with.

However, with your donation, you can help me bring a piece of our world into the classroom and provide these children with those experiences.
