My Students

Help us to not be squeezed! When working in small groups of more than four we are squeezed. The chairs available at the school are too big and low. So, when we work at the table it is uncomfortable. Also, there is not enough room to keep all the chairs needed at the table.

My 2nd grade students are hard workers and eager to learn.

We work in small groups often on reading, writing, and math, so all levels of students are given the support they need. Students work best when they are comfortable and in a place adequate for reading and writing.

My Project

My students would appreciate stools that have supportive backs to use at our small group table. This will allow them to sit at a height that is comfortable and all students to have adequate room to work. Also, the stools would all fit at the table and time would not be lost moving chairs around the room.

My project is important because time and comfort are precious in schools.

Time is lost moving chairs around the room that could be spent on instruction. At times it takes several minutes to get chairs where they need to be when working with groups. Also, comfort is important. When my students don't have a place to work because they are on the edge of the table it affects their work. My students need your help to get the correct stools, so they can work in small groups efficiently.
