My Students

Imagine a classroom that engages students with the use of cutting edge technology that grabs their attention. An LCD projector will do that for my students.

I teach high school English in an inner city school.

Students often feel lost and uninterested in education because of various outside influences that affect their ability to concentrate on learning. Everyday is a challenge to present engaging lessons. One thing my students have in common is a love for technology. They enjoy going to the computer lab because it allows them to participate more fully in this digital world. The addition of the LCD projector will have the same affect in my classroom.

My Project

The LCD projector will expose the students to cutting edge computer technology that is not available at home or in their community. This will inspire them to reach for higher learning. The LCD projector will be used to project 3D images from my computer and will also be used for PowerPoint presentations prepared by the students and myself. Student engagement in English will soar with the use of the LCD projector in my room. With the addition of this LCD projector, the class will also be able to work on interactive writing projects and activities.

In closing, my school cannot afford to purchase this 21st century technology for my classroom.

It is essential that my students have exposure to this type of technology so that they can broaden their learning and life experiences. The donation of an LCD projector will have a dramatic impact on my teaching and on the lives of my students.
