My Students

Have you ever tried to run a business with no paper? Pretty much impossible. This is what we face at this time of the year; every year.

Our students are special needs students.

They all have some type of a disability that makes their life just that much harder for them. Along with their disability comes social anxiety and a wealth of other problems. One way that our students are able to express themselves is in their writings and their drawings... which take paper. Paper that is and has been scarce since the economy took a tumble.

My Project

Our students are at the high school level. Before they would even attempt to get up in front of a classroom, they would rather put their thoughts, fears, and even cries for help on paper. We have budding poets and starving artists a plenty! Extra copy paper will give our kids the "release" they need. Our students come from impoverished families, so asking for it at home goes no where as well.

Extra copy paper is such a vital part of a school.

Since we are a charter school, our funds are even less. I know there is a difference between a want and a need. This is something we NEED!
