My Students: Leaving the classroom to explore our community is an exciting and essential educational adventure! Eating lunch should not be. When field trips or curriculum studies take us out of the classroom, it is essential that our lunches remain at safe temperatures.

As an educator in a small K - 12 district in rural New York state, we travel out of our classrooms, on foot and by bus, in order to supplement and enhance our curriculum. We love to experience new things! Upset stomachs should not be one of those things,

whether it is the pre k on a trip to the farm, the kindergarten visiting the petting zoo, 1st graders taking in a play, second graders studying careers, or third graders touring a hands-on history museum. We want to continue participating in these great experiences, while staying safe!

My Project: I want to acquire two ice chests and re-freezable ice packs that will hold lunches when our pre-k through third grade classes leave our building to learn more about the world around us. The safety of our students is always our main priority.

The health and safety of the children is always a large concern when we venture out of our classrooms! Please assist us in minimizing concerns over lunch safety by assisting us in purchasing two ice chests and re-freezable ice packs. hide»
