My Students

Five and six year old children need a concrete example of the world around them.

Our school is located in a small community that has tightly knitted family values.

My classroom is composed of a very diverse group of five and six year old girls and boys with a variety of backgrounds and social economic status as well as a few with special needs.

My Project

Because of limited resources, Weekly Readers would allow my students to experience places outside our community. This resource would allow my students to have a visual aid to view current events as well as many topics that would be aligned with our science and social studies standards.

Weekly Readers would provide my students with a fun, exciting and stimulating view of our world all around us.

This would expand their knowledge of people, places and things outside their ordinary way of life.
