My Students

The present infrastructure of the music room includes stackable cafeteria type chairs. Our goal is to eventually obtain enough chairs for each music student. These new chairs promote proper posture and maximum breathing capacity. This creates an environment for greater success for each student.

Students in this music program come from a rural farming community where music is not the prioritized subject.

We have built our program from the ground up. The music program started with 5 students and has now grown to an amazing 70. We are excited and proud to have the growth that we have. Our school does not have a music budget and the students work the sporting event concession stand to earn any kind of monetary help for their program. We need to have proper equipment to help us create the optimal environment for these budding musicians and would love your support in helping them.

My Project

Not only will these chairs help the students with posture and breathing, but they will have the opportunity to have something to call their own. They take pride in the things that we earn and receive. We have felt the support from our school and our community and we want to shine and succeed for them. The students will not have to drag chairs from one building to the next and dust them off from storage. We can have our own concert set up that belongs to us.
