My Students

Having the ability to access knowledge on the WEB is crucial. Knowing how to create documents, presentations and spreadsheets are essential skills to possess.

We are a middle school in California, serving many low income and foster-home students.

While most students have the basic needs and supplies, about 50% of student population DOES NOT have computers w/Internet access at home. We have computer carts at the school, but they are only accessible for math and English teachers.

My Project

I am requesting two small laptops so that students can access information/create their presentations at their desk. Imagine with me, the following visions I have for the students at our middle school: 1)That students will have access to the knowledge on the web. 2)They will be able to create a portfolio of documents, presentations, and spreadsheets using Google Docs. 3)Make presentations to the class 4)Build necessary job skills for the future.

And now these three remain: faith, hope and love.

But the greatest of these is love. (1 Corinthians 13:13) Love is what these kids need, more that technological tools that can access the web. Love for the students is the main reason why I am in this profession. (Though the vacations are really nice, too) Thank you to all that can contribute.
