Multi-Ethnic Dolls For Kindergarten

My students need 6 multi-ethnic dolls, a wooden doll crib, and a multicultural play food assortment.

My Students

The children in my class come from different ethnic and cultural backgrounds and would enjoy playing with dolls representing their different cultural backgrounds in our playhouse. We also need a doll bed and some multicultural play food.

Most of my 25 kindergarten students are second language learners, and some of them have recently arrived from other countries.

A lot of the students are beginning English Language Learners. Our school is in a high need area and is a Title 1 school which provides free breakfast and lunch to all our students. We are located in Southern California.

My Project

Your help with our project would give the children in my class dolls that represent their ethic backgrounds to play with in our playhouse. It is very important for children to see dolls that represent themselves. I have already provided chopsticks in my playhouse and the multicultural play food would provide items like dumplings. There are also pretend tacos. Some of the children in my class have just arrived from other countries and enter into our kindergarten classroom, and I believe that these dolls will make them happy and comfortable. I also have included a doll bed on our list of items that we would like.

I hope you will choose to donate to our project to provide my students with dolls that represent their different ethnic backgrounds.

I feel these dolls are very important to children when they play. Playing together contributes to learning about others in Kindergarten.
