This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students worked hard on their science fair projects. They did the research, experiments, wrote the papers, and then bombed the presentations. They did not have the needed materials to make their presentation stand out.

My students are some of the best in the world despite their circumstances.

They try hard and have great attitudes. My school is identified as a low-income school and all my students are identified as having a disability. My school has students form preschool to sixth grade.

My Project

I would like to purchase a Circut cutting machine. This machine will enable my students to present what they have learned in a professional manner. Ask any salesperson "presentation counts" . I compared my students science fair projects to that of the district winners and the only difference was how well the projects were presented.

This project will help level the playing field for my students.

My students are faced with so many obstacles in their lives that decorating a science fair board should not be one of them. It is devastating to see the impact on a students self-esteem when they are ashamed to show their work because of something as simple as graphics. This piece of equipment can be used for a variety of project and for many years.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
