My Students

The right book makes a world of difference! In kindergarten we are learning to read. An important part of that process is to have leveled books available so that these early readers can have a successful experience reading.

Our school district is going through a difficult time.

We have huge budget shortfalls. Because of this many essential programs are being cut. As a classroom teacher I feel like it is my responsibility to ensure my little learners are not negatively effected by these cuts. Although I am loosing my aids, I am loosing reading specialist and loosing money to buy supplies ... I am determined to give these little learners every opportunity to learn to read!

My Project

The material that I am asking for would ensure that each child would have the opportunity to feel successful in reading. Every time a child picks up a book and has a positive experience they are more likely to WANT to pick up another book. I want my little learners to gain a love for reading.

Without your help I would not be able to provide leveled reading material for my kindergarten students.

Be assured that these books would be properly cared for to ensure years of use. Your generosity could benefit many children for years to come.
