Can I Borrow a Pencil?

My students need 2 heavy-duty reliable electric pencil sharpeners.

My Students

What is the most important tool for students in math besides their brains? Their pencils, of course. Imagine the frustration from students when they find their pencil tips dull are broken and no way to sharpen them. I am asking for a high-quality pencil sharpener.

I see a wonderful world inside my 6th grade windows; bright-eyed, smart, eager students just waiting for the opportunity to shine.

Children focused on learning because they trust that I love them and strive to make their learning experiences meaningful, and maybe even a little bit fun. Outside those windows, a completely different story unfolds. My students live in one of the most impoverished neighborhoods. Many of these children have their only meals within school. Many more receive their daily hugs from their teachers.

My Project

As people, we learn from our mistakes. I encourage my students to not be afraid to make mistakes. Mistakes are the basis of understanding! This makes the use of pencils imperative so that they can rub out their mistakes and make room for their changes while doing work. Before me are an inspiring group of future architects, drafters, journalists, and teachers. All of whom favor a pencil instead of a pen to complete their assignments.

Because we are working hard the result is a large number of pencils that need to be sharpened typically each day.

Investing in an excellent, long-lasting and reasonably priced electric pencil sharpener is essential for any well-run classroom.
