My Students

Our state's funding has been cut significantly causing restrictions in our classroom

Our students are from a rural area with many hardworking parents who are out of jobs.

We all understand the economic hardship that has hit our community/country and we don't want our children to do without. Our students deserve to have the best education possible. Please help make such a simple request of paper possible for our kids.

My Project

We are requesting construction paper. We use the construction paper for various art activities. It is also used to build strength in their fingers (using scissors) to help develop fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination. Equally important is developing the children's listening skills. We give specific directions to the children so they can cut the construction paper a certain way to make their craft. This is an excellent way to develop such important skills needed to be successful in life.

Construction paper is an essential tool we use to develop our children's fine and gross motor skills and listening skills and to strengthen their hands and fingers.

This in turn helps them have better control of their pencils and improve hand-eye coordination. Though it is just a bunch of paper, it is the ideal tool to help develop such concepts.
