My Students

Students will be using technology for the rest of their lives and music is changing because of technology. We are trying to educate our students on how to create music using modern music technology.

Our high school is a public school in Iowa.

My students are very excited about music and creating music but do not have always have the money at home to purchase their own equipment. The music students have a wide range of demographics that vary from ethnic groups and economic class.

My Project

We want to purchase one Mac Mini computer and Keyboard. The music lab is 100% Mac because of the ease of use the Mac music development software. The last class I taught had 9 students enlisted and we only have three computers to work on. This lab is also used by the entire music department for composing music, creating projects for other classes, and practice time with Smartmusic.

We currently have no budget for this project and the future looks grim because of the economic downturn.
