My Students

In order to open the imagination of my Special Ed high school students I need to replace my movie screen.

I teach five classes of self-contained Special Education students.

We are learning Living Environment and Earth Science including Labs. I help them shoot for the Regents exam but we settle for the RCT. I'm working with approx. 100 students and another 50 in after school tutoring science. I'm in an inner city location so my school has very limited funds to purchase materials.

My Project

My current screen will not stay open and I need to show movies, overhead transparencies, and photos of my science lessons so that my students will not go to sleep. It will open their eyes to the world, to the universe. I want them to feel like they are traveling around the world as I teach them science.

Please help me replace my movie screen and open the minds of inner city youth who have never been out of the city.

Help make my room become the doorway to the Universe through science. Thank you very much.
