We Need Drums For Elementary Music

My Students

Today's students need to be aware of the world around them. What better way to study other cultures then though music.

I teach about 700 Kindergarten through Fifth graders.

It is an average school that is feeling the crunch of the current economy. Money that we used to have to buy equipment for the music program just doesn't exist anymore. The students are in desperate need of some help.

My Project

With some help these students could learn about the world in ways that they can't right now. All over the world people use drums, from Africa to South America, Asia to Australia, they are everywhere. Through the use of a class set of drums, the students can learn songs and rhythms from different cultures. As an enhancement, we can learn about the geography, the people and language, and important periods of history from all the Continents. Right now, the students have no drums for music class.

With your donation you would be impacting the lives of 700 students plus the thousands of students that will come through my school in years to come.

The students will use these instruments to learn coordination, cultures from around the world and fun songs that will be performed for concerts every year. My students will be very grateful for your support.
