Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students need 30 copies of American Government: Citizenship and Power a textbook that will teach them what it means to be an active citizen in the United States.

My school is a high needs high poverty school found in New York.

Our students are in dire need of resources let alone the textbooks that you can help fund here. Help make the difference and help fund my project. Please allow my students to learn about the workings of government but also prepare for college.

My Project

Teens lose interest in government because they can not understand how it works. Your support will allow my students to have an award winning textbook in their classroom. You will enable them to learn more about their government and appreciate their role as citizens.

When a budget cut happens it is the government that enacts this cut.

By learning about the government the students will be empowered with information as to how to go about dealing with government. Students will learn about their role being advocates for their fellow citizens. Please help empower my students not only as learners but as citizens.
