My Students

"A small body of determined spirits fired by an unquenchable faith in their mission can alter the course of history." Mohandas Gandhi The small bodies in our kindergarten room are determined to learn to read and write to express themselves. They will no doubt change history.

The kindergarten students in my class come from a variety of backgrounds.

They are not all from the best homes, but they come to school and do their very best. Every student is reading and writing. They use much of their free time to write on the computer. However, with no printer we are limited in our ability to turn their words into hard copy.

My Project

We are requesting a laser printer along with the extra ink to go with the printer. We will use the printer and ink to print the students work. This will allow them to share their work with their teachers, peers, and parents. Perhaps one day their work will be published to an even wider audience.

With a printer in our classroom the students will have the freedom to write more pieces.

They will be less restricted in what pieces they choose to print and take home. They will also be able to print and post the work within the school so that others can view their work.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
