My Students

Have you ever heard of the Dan River? This is a good size river that runs through our town. Our children need to learn about rivers and how they work. There is so much life in our rivers that our children are unaware of and I feel that this is a wonderful in class way of learning.

We are an early childhood classroom with children with various degrees of disabilities.

We attend a high poverty school for preschoolers in a low income city. Most of our students are from single families with low income. Many of our parents are on unemployment as our jobs keep fading out of our communities. We want to offer these children all of the learning possibilities that we can.

My Project

We will be able to learn about rivers with the Eco-river system. We will also learn about life and what grows and lives in the river with our river animals and plant sets. The fish and the frogs and even the plants are all so different. This is a wonderful and safe way of exploring and learning about our river.

I want to give my students every chance to succeed and go far in life and with every new thing that they learn it opens new doors for their future.
