My Students

Do you ever feel like you can't sit still? You try your best to pay attention and listen, but you've got a bad case of the wiggles.

My four year old kindergarten students are amazing.

They are creative, active, intelligent and love to have fun. They enjoy listening to stories and participating in group writing activities. Many of their bodies are little bundles of energy. All this energy can make it difficult for them to remain focused during group time. In our classroom we have one seat cushion we are borrowing. This cushion helps the student sitting on it to remain focused. Each day the students come in and try to be the first to ask to sit on the cushion. Many could benefit from it, but the resources are not available.

My Project

Many of my four year old kindergarten students get the wiggles every time we sit on the carpet for group time. It's not that they are not interested in what we are doing, but they are four and love to move. Although we incorporate movement into all of our activities their little bodies need more. Having seat cushions, or as we call them bubble seats, would help solve this problem. The seat cushion allows them to sit on a rubber cushion filled with air or another material. When sitting on it their bodies get the movement they need without bothering others.

Your donation will give these fabulous young students a chance to wiggle and move safely while still concentrating on academics.

Instead of bothering their neighbor they will get the movement they need thanks to the seat cushions your donation will help to provide.
