My Students: Do you remember all those worksheets you had to complete when you were in school so that you would master the skills? My students do not learn that way! They much prefer being engaged through games and other hands-on activities while learning.

Our classroom community consists of 17 boys and 7 girls. They enjoy cooperative learning and stations where they can interact with each other while learning. These third graders love games and need a lot of repetition to acquire skills, so I try to spiral as many of the skills as possible.

My Project: My students need My students need station materials (1 Tic-Tac-Toe Math Games set and 1 Tic-Tac-Toe Reading Games set) which spiral skills they have learned in a fun and engaging way. These resources will enable my students to continue their learning while gaining some independence. It will also help foster community through cooperative learning. I will be able to work individually with students while the others are working with these products in their stations.

If you were still in school would you rather learn sitting at a desk all day completing worksheet after worksheet, or would you rather interact with your peers in a fun, hands-on station while learning? My students would so appreciate some new learning games and activities and so would I. I try to give individual attention to my 24 students, but it is difficult if I don't have the necessary station materials to keep the others engaged and learning. Please donate to this cause.
