This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

As a teacher, I realize the educational challenges that face students in the twenty first century. I believe that students can benefit from any avenue it takes to help them reach their potential.

The students at my school are amazing pupils who are truly engaged in the learning process.

Our students are precious to us and we would like to see them enjoy every opportunity afforded to them. We thank Donor's Choose for giving them this opportunity.

My Project

The resources from Donor's Choose will change the lives of our students because they will see that other people are taking an interest in their education. Once they realize that other people believe in their abilities, they will be more likely to succeed in all subject areas. Students are experiencing the Science Lab in a newly built school. The most needed items for that lab are resources. Children are in need of materials such as an earth science discovery box, 2 solar system activity tubs, a color mixing learning center and a sink or float kit that would make the science lab a success. Students are in the process of creating volcanoes, food pyramids, plants, cells, etc. The Science Lab would create interactive, motivational and culturally enriched skills that cultivate students to reach their highest possibilities by exceeding the standards therefore empowering them to contribute to the transformation of the universe.

This project is important because I would like to see the students have a model Science Lab.

We often tell the students that they are "First in the Universe". We want them to believe it. We would like Donor's Choose to be a part of this endeavor.
