My Students

My class enjoys pretending to be the teacher. They will love to show what they know using an overhead projector. Daily whole group instruction would be amplified and easier to see. A cart for the overhead would be fantastic so that the overhead would be easily accessible to the students.

My students are very sweet and eager to learn.

The majority live in households where there is little or no income. They are very active and love being able to actively participate in their learning. Our school is in rural Mississippi. It is a public school and most students do not have access to technology outside of school.

My Project

Unfortunately, my students do not have access to an overhead projector. The students will be able to use the overhead projector to demonstrate math problems, edit sentences and paragraphs, and choral read poems and stories. The possibilities of an overhead is limitless! Therefore, I am requesting an overhead projector, a cart, and accessories for the overhead.

Our school is facing severe budget cuts and an overhead projector will benefit many children for many years.

The fulfillment of this request will help students become better readers and better problem solvers which will in turn lead to more successful and contributing members of society.
