My Students

Do you remember watching Charlie and the Chocolate Factory for the first time? Did you read the book?

My third grade students are just beginning to understand that their imaginations can take them to fascinating places in novels.

The Fantastic Mr. Fox is a wonderful book for students at this age. They love excitement and adventure. They are also developing into independent readers, and the individual copies will allow them to read at a comfortable pace, and not feel rushed or worried about how fast they read.

My Project

My students love to watch movies and discuss the main idea, details, characters, plot, and solution. I want them to love reading Roald Dahl's books just as much as they love watching movies, like Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Fun, adventure, and humor can be found in books, and I want my third graders to experience this in my classroom.
