My students need a document camera because I want to be able to show my class examples of the writing process.

My Students

Haven't you ever needed help bring things to life? There are a lot of times I needed a visual aid or aids to help my students better understand how I want them to write a paragraph or story.

I work with a predominantly, disadvantaged African-American and Latino population.

They are a group of students who are creative writers and need help visualizing how to process the five stages of writing. They are very curious about everything and are eager to learn. They attend a charter school.

My Project

In order to help my students better understand what I want them to write, I use visual aids. The visual aids I use for writing are the five stages of writing. The stages are brainstorm, pre-write, draft, proofread and publish. Relying on these stages helps my students to become good writers and creative thinkers. Due to the limited resources, I realized that utilizing the document camera will help bring things to life for all of my ESL learners and I can model the process for them.

If I have this camera, it will enhance my students ability to become efficient, creative writers.

The donation to this request will make a difference by being able to see my examples of writing on the board.
