Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

What time is? Help my kids learn to tell time! My class is desperate to tell time. These supplies would help me to make their wishes come true!

I teach nine wonderful students.

I have seven boys and two girls. They attend a specialized school for students with autism. They LOVE to learn! The class wants to know about everything in the world around them. They learn with visual aids and hands on experiences. These students need a little more to be engaged and interested. Fun and active lessons get them excited about learning.

My Project

Our class is beginning to learn about time, we will use the magnetic clock and student clocks. The time and measurement practice cards for independent practice with time. We have been working on addition and subtraction, the Beat the Clock! practice cards will reinforce these skills. The magnetic numbers and counters will give my students a hands-on fun activity to practice addition and subtraction. The calendar center will reinforce math skills daily. This will make our morning meeting worthwhile and meaningful to the students. This will enable the class to practice many math skills in a fun and engaging way.
