My Students

Do you remember what it was like having your parents read to you?

These students are in the most aggressive reading intervention that is offered in our school.

Their reading skills range from two to five grade levels below where they are supposed to be. Many have had little to no advantages in learning the process.

My Project

These children use a computer based literacy program that helps them recover from years of little to no reading instruction. These headsets will help cancel out the unending distracting noise coming from the hallways and streets located near our school.

I remember the endless nights of my mother reading to me.

These students have parents that are often unable to provide that support. Some do not speak any English, others work nights to keep food on the table.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
