My Students

Do you have a favorite author? I know that I do! My students just can't get enough of that fun-loving aardvark, Arthur!

My third graders attend an inner city school.

Although we do not always have everything we need, my students work hard and appreciate everything they have. They are positive and enthusiastic about learning. They love to curl up with their favorite books. They are always waiting to have their turn with an Arthur book. There is just something about that handsome aardvark that we as adults will never understand! Help us get a set of Arthur books for all to enjoy!

My Project

Having a reading nook with a monthly author study will get my students excited about learning. I am trying to create life-long learners. It is always a challenge to get them to view reading as a hobby and not a chore. I believe that "readers are leaders" and why not start with Arthur and friends!

You will make a difference in my students helping them become life long learners.

Reading is so important and opens so many doors. They are faced with so many obstacles already, reading is a place where they can go and feel safe!
