World Cinema

My students need 17 cinematic resources, including foreign films, screenplays, and books that deal with films.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Do you remember the first movie that made a difference in your life. Have you ever been inspired by a film?

My students are searching for their identity and trying to find something out there that interests them.

I feel film is a great way to get through to the media enriched youth of today. Films often tell stories that the students can relate to and at the same time open their eyes to an art form that hasn't been explored.

My Project

I think the children of today are misguided by the Blockbuster films that are so heavily marketed to them. I want to show them that there are simple beautiful stories out there that deal with all human emotions and not just "Blow em up, Bang em up films." I can do this with the use of cinematic resources, including foreign films, screenplays, and books.

I feel this project will make my students more cultured and introduce them to a beautiful art form that they have not really experienced.

I think the next time they go to a movie or rent a movie they will be more aware of what the medium really has to offer.
