My Students

I will never forget the first time I showed a funny educational video to my students. They were rolling on the floor laughing, but they learned something! This type of instruction is what I try to do in my class; making things educational and fun at the same time.

Many of my students love to make people laugh.

They like to make videos for entertainment in their spare time. So, why not bring that into the classroom? We try to do this, but we need a video camera so the students can video their projects, songs, raps, or other things they would like to present.

My Project

With students who are technology-driven, differentiated instruction is the way to teach. By allowing students to learn in their own way, such as making a video over a specific topic, learning and success in the classroom increases tremendously. I have seen what can happen when students learn in ways that they understand! By making videos for them to watch and learn from, we will be able to help more students succeed in education.

My goal for teaching is to reach all my students.

This year I have realized how much of a difference differentiated instruction makes. One thing I really need for my classroom is a video camera. That way, students can make videos, we can record lectures for those who need to hear them, and we can help students learn in their own way.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
