My Students

Want to watch T.V.? We need a working television in our classroom. I want to show my students videos and clips, but my television is old. The sound is going bad and the volume level is so low that we can't hear anything. I would like a new television to use in my classroom.

I teach third grade in an urban school that serves the surrounding neighborhoods.

My school receives funds from the Title 1 and Free Lunch programs. My students come to school with the basic of supplies. They expect to come to school and have the necessary educational resources. I asked for a working television, but current economic issues made it impossible.

My Project

I would like to have a working television in my classroom to use with my students to show science videos that will further their knowledge of the phases of the moon and animal behaviors. The television can also be used as a reading station during language arts. My students could use the television as a monitor with the hand-held remote response system that we use to review concepts. Just having an everyday item like a working television is small, but it would mean so much to my students.

I am a good teacher and I want my students to be the best that they can be.

That can not happen if they don't have everything that they need within the classroom. Your donation of a television will give my students a basic education tool that will enhance my instruction and elevate their knowledge.
