My Students

Do you remember what it was like the first time you realized there was a world outside of your hometown? Our students have not yet had this experience.

Our school is located in a rural setting in Wisconsin.

The approximately 320 students of our high school have grown up to be hard working individuals who are excited to learn about the world they are about to encounter. For right now their world consists of local farms and the Wal-Mart in the nearby city.

My Project

The microphones will provide students an opportunity to create one on one connections with Spanish speaking students from around the world, specifically classes in suburban Argentina. Students will be able to have voice conferences and record voice messages to share with their global counterparts. In addition to these benefits a classroom set of microphone headsets will allow students to take advantage of the vast amount of authentic materials available on the Internet.

This project will create global citizens ready to communicate efficiently and comprehend differences in our global society.

Students will become integrated into the world they live in and live beyond the borders of their town.
