My students need 10 resources, including footballs, soccer balls, basketballs and other types of sports equipment to help motivate them to keep doing their best!

My Students

I believe that for every problem, there is a solution. I have a problem, and I am hoping that you can be part of the solution. The problem I am having is that I have run out of “treasures” for my classroom treasure box!

I give out treasure box tickets throughout the day as rewards for hard work and responsible behavior, and draw names each Friday.

Now that there’s not much treasure left, the treasure box tickets are less of an incentive. To help solve this problem, I am requesting footballs, soccer balls, basketballs and other types of sports equipment to help motivate and reward my hardworking students.

My Project

My fifth grade students are wonderful, inquisitive children with an incredible drive and dedication to school. I challenge them from the minute they walk in the door until the minute they leave, and usually they are up for the challenge. I would like to reward students who continually meet my expectations and those who are trying to make positive changes. Since I work at a school that serves low-income (80%) and English Language Learner (65%) populations, many of these treasure box items are things they wouldn’t normally get. As you may imagine, sports equipment really will be treasure for these children.

As their teacher, I want to provide students with as many opportunities and learning experiences as I can.

When the classroom is calm, focused, and motivated, much can be accomplished. Through your generosity, some of the most deserving students will have the opportunity earn sports equipment as rewards for doing the right thing. Thank you for your consideration and desire to help make a difference for students!
