My Students

I am challenging my students to have a better understanding of the events of the Holocaust by visiting historical sites in Europe, including Auschwitz. These students are taking an 18 week course which has both tested and rewarded them. This trip will make their study as real as could be.

My students are from grades 9 through 12 from a high school about 25 miles north of Pittsburgh.

We are a public school with a very integrated racial structure. These students have a great interest in this trip and the subject of the Holocaust, for they have completed an intensive 18 week course on the historical, moral, and social impact of the Holocaust.

My Project

Your donation of this digital camera will enable the students to record their trip for the future. Many students will use these pictures in their senior projects. Also, many students do not have the means to purchase a good camera for this once in a lifetime trip. Each student will get a chance to record their memories. In addition, the Holocaust Center of Pittsburgh is backing our trip to Europe, and they too would like to document this trip for use in the community.

In conclusion, this donation of this camera will inspire my students to cherish their memories of some of the most moving and emotional sites in Europe.

These pictures for my students and the Holocaust Center of Pittsburgh will help to continue to fight those who say this event "never" happened.
