Unfortunately, we have to share the projector with other teachers in the building making our fairy tale have a not so happy ending. Please help us live happily ever after! One student has really blossomed through the use of this technology. He is a student who is difficult to engage but through the use of the Wii SmoothBoard he has been excited about learning. It is amazing to see this change and I can not wait to see the strong progress he will make. My Project: Once upon a time there lived a very nice Kindergarten teacher. As time passed, she realized that her lessons needed more pizazz for her students to be engaged. How to do this was her wish. She decided to ask her Fairy Godmother. She politely asked, “Fairy Godmother, I wish for help in making my lessons more interactive for my students.” With a wave of the Fairy Godmother’s wand appeared a Wii SmoothBoard. She was amazed! She asked, “What is this and how does it work?” The Fairy Godmother replied, “This is technology that will make your white board interactive. It works by having the Wii remote talk to your computer through a Bluetooth. Use these magic IR wands and your students will be able to manipulative the lessons." The teacher was excited and gave it a try right away. Her students loved this and their learning soared. The Fairy Godmother reminded the teacher that her wish would not last forever. Help her class have a happy ever after. I am not a very tech oriented person but this project has taught me so much. I found the experience rewarding and frustrating at times. However, we problem solved through it and have seen the rewards in my students faces. hide» My students need an LCD projector. details»
