My Students: "Oh, no!" These are words no teacher wants to hear in the classroom, especially when technology is involved.

Our school is located in a small community where funds and technology are limited. For several years I have been using my personal laptop for the classroom. Through the generosity of many people, I was able to purchase an LCD projector and ELMO to add to use for lesson presentations. One day the computer just crashed and burned.

My Project: I am currently using a laptop from our library so I can continue using technology in the classroom, but we need a new computer of our own. One of the favorite activities we do is the Racing Game. Students actually use remote control devices to answer math questions. The first person to answer gets the most points and takes the lead as his/her car races around the track. Without the computer we are not able to use any of the activities or games that are associated with the remote controls. Imagine a classroom full of high school seniors (mostly boys) playing a game, having fun, laughing, and learning at the same time!
